Veterans, Active Duty, and Volunteers, OH MY!

    As we prepare to honor our Veterans this Veteran’s Day weekend, we thought we would share some of the connections we have through our Bosshardt Companies. We asked our Realtors®, property managers, community association managers, maintenance crew, management team and staff members if they, or anyone in their immediate family were in the service or work with Veterans; the responses were overwhelming! These are just some of our connections, please share with us your military service, or the ways in which you choose to serve our Veterans.

    Stacey Aasved, Bosshardt Marketing: Father-in-law, John Ambrose Cline Jr., was a United States Marine, serving in Peleliu during WWII. Granddaddy served in WWII. Uncle Myron Zack Barley served in the United States Air Force, Uncle Philip Muldrow was in the Army Reserves, Cousin who was an Army Ranger, Great Grandfather served in the Civil War, her grandmother’s brother served in WWII, Stacey has (7 times great) grandfathers on both sides of her family that served in the American Revolution. Her daughter is currently in the youth organization called the Young Marines and holds the highest rank in her unit, she is also the Division 3 Public Affairs Officer, and is considering joining the Air Force after graduation, but has made no final decision.

    Beverly Anderson, Realtor®: Husband served in the United States Navy.

    Fonda Butkiewicz, Realtor®: Served in the United States Air Force for 11 years and was a Technical Sergeant. Fonda’s brother is a United States Marine.

    Bucky Butkiewicz, Realtor®: Served in the United States Air Force for 27 years, and is a retired Chief Master Sergeant

    Adrian Campbell, Realtor®: Both of her parents served in the United States Air Force.

    Bryan Croushore, Realtor®: Brother is active duty in the United States Army.

    Kendall Curtis, Bosshardt Maintenance Division: United States Army Veteran, who served for 24 years before he retired honorably. Kendall was a First Sergeant 63 Tango Maintenance Sr. Instructor at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

    Blake Fletcher, Realtor®: Dad, Cotton Fletcher, served in the United States Air Force.

    Selena Gaston, Office Staff: Husband is active duty with the United States Army, for 29 years. Selena has spent time volunteering for family support while soldiers are on tour.

    Jim Glass, Commercial Property Manager: Served four years in the United States Air Force.

    Michael Hall, Realtor®: Son is active duty in the United States Air Force.

    Adam Hogge, Realtor®: Served four years in the United States Air Force.

    Debbie Houdershelt, Bosshardt CAM: Husband, Bobby served in the United States Army, and her son-in-law Timothy is active duty in the United States Air Force.

    Loralee Hutchinson, Realtor®: Husband, retired after 30 years in the United States Air Force.

    Amanda Knoles, Realtor®: Husband served four years in the United States Navy.

    Kevan Knudsen, Realtor®: Grandfather and uncles/cousins all served in the military.

    Eric Ligman, Realtor®: Dad was a United States Marine.

    Glennette Maxwell, Bosshardt Property Management: Brother, John Reiners, died in combat during Afghanistan after serving two tours in Iraq, and one tour to Afghanistan. Her dad served in the United States Army, her grandfather served and retired from the United States Army, her other brother served in the Army as well. Glennette is the vice president of the Gainesville Auxiliary Purple Heart Chapter (which is named after her brother). She also serves on the board of Vetspace, she is also active with the Alachua County Military support group, and the American Legion of Gainesville. Her Dad is the Commander for the Sons of the American Legion, and her mother is the chaplain for the American Legion Auxiliary and the President of the North Florida Gold Star Mothers.

    Bunky Mastin, Realtor®: Served as an officer in the United States Navy on a destroyer as a supply officer during the Vietnam era.

    Gene Anne McKay, General Manager Bosshardt Realty: Brother served in Vietnam (died with complications from Agent Orange), and her father served in the United States Navy during WWII.

    Mark Miller, Realtor®: Father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army

    Patti Moore, Assistant Bookkeeper Bosshardt CAM: Late husband served 20 years in the United States Navy, he was a helicopter pilot who did search and rescue during Vietnam, and also served on base as a security officer. Sadly, he passed away earlier this year (May 27, 2017).

    Genile Morris, Realtor®: Dad served as a Marine in Vietnam.

    Harold Nobles, IT staff at Bosshardt Property Management: Father served on a B-29 crew in the Army Air Corps during WWII. His name was Harold Lindsay Nobles.

    Nick Reed, Realtor®: Served in the United States Army 101st Airborne/Air Assault Division.

    Josiah Rivera, Realtor®: Dad served in the United States Navy, Brother serves as a medic in the Army Rangers, and Cousin serves as military police.

    Dawn Robinette, Realtor®: Husband served in the United States Marine Corps.

    Jean Rugg, Bosshardt CAM: Husband is a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Navy Seabees, he is a lifetime member of DAV, the VFW, Seabees of America, and active member of the American Legion and AM Vets. Jean is active with the American Legion.

    Daniel Sarkis, Realtor®: Daniel serves as a mentor for UF’s Disabled Veterans Entrepreneurship Program. His brother in law served In the United States Air Force.

    Clayton Wagner, Realtor®: Dad (Bob) served in the United States Army, and is a Vietnam Veteran.

    Judy Whalen, Realtor®: Her dad was a United States Marine and served at Quadacanal.
